Strollers. They are an indispensible part of parenthood, and to those with young babies and toddlers, going anywhere without them seems like sheer madness. But wait, what’s that you got in there? Is that your child or your laundry?
This week Dashboard Confessions leaves the motor behind in an awesome giveaway sponsored by the Stroller Gurus at LetsGoStrolling.com. One lucky winner will be pushing their kid or whatever else pleases them in a posh Bugaboo Frog!
Whether you use your stroller as a shopping cart at the grocery store, a swag wagon at the mall or a picnic basket at the soccer field, we’d like to hear all about it. Tell us the most funny, outrageous or inventive use you have found for your stroller, and you will be entered to win a Bugaboo Frog from Car and Caboodle and Lets Go Strolling.
Here’s how to enter:
1. Go to LetsGoStrolling.com and window shop for your favorite diaper bag or stroller.
2. Go to the comments field below and use it to tell us the wacky ways you have used your past and present strollers.
3. Also tell us which of the strollers or bags on the Lets Go Strolling site caught your fancy.
4. Hit submit!
Please note: Entries that do not meet the above requirements, will be disqualified. One lucky winner will win a Bugaboo Frog Stroller (retail value $759)! Winner will be chosen at random from all entries received before 11:00 PM Friday July 4th Friday July 11th.
Editors Note: We have extended the deadline on this contest and changed the requirements for entry (no video required now, but if you have one to share, please do!). We know you are busy and don’t want you to miss out on this awesome contest!

Win a Bugaboo Frog with a Dashboard Confession
Have you used your stroller for carrying things other than your baby? Groceries, potting soil, & beer come to mind for me. Share a short video of your "stroller transport" experience and you’ll be entered to win a new Bugaboo…

Just this weekend I had a 12-pack of Newcastle and a bucket of KFC in our MacLaren.

Our craziest stroller use was last summer when we had a HUGE co-op organic garden at a friend’s farm– by the end of the summer, we were pushing our Maclaren MX3 through mud and straw while it was loaded down not with our 1 year old DD, but with giant pumpkins, sweet corn, butternut squash and tomatoes! I’m sure with the huge pumpkins, we way exceeded the weight limit. With all of the canning and freezing I did last year, we have enough for this winter as well, so this summer I’m off the hook. And we are spending our new found free time pushing our children, not our pumpkins, around in our new Jane Powertwin from Lets Go Strolling! (As it is a dangerous idea to “window shop” at Lets Go Strolling, I decided to skip that part and just tell you we are LOVING our Powertwin!)

My husband and I love to walk around the neighborhood with our daughter, and one evening we took her in the stroller down to our local sonic a few blocks away. She got fussy and wanted to just be carried, however, so hubby ended up carrying her and I ended up pushing bags of Sonic food home! The strollers I like are the Bugaboo Bee and Frog! They’re so cool (unlike my $80 stroller from Wal-Mart that I got for my shower).

we once moved apartments from the third to first floor lugging on the boxes on our snap n go. i never knew it could hold so much weight! now that we have number two we are thinking of the vibe from let’s go strolling. wonder if it will fit the boxes for our next move.

I love the Phil and Ted’s Vibe Stroller.
We’ve used our stroller for many things. Older kids that fell asleep, hauling groceries and other items, throwing laundry in it to transport from room to room (it’s better than carrying a basket), and of course we take it to yard sales (not for baby but for stuff we buy, especially community yard sales where you have to walk miles).

my husband (a dentist) was volunteering for a community health fair and his assistant forgot to bring his cart to place his instruments. Our Peg Perego P3 travel system stroller came in super handy that day! He placed his trays and laptop (for x-rays) on it and was able to move it around to give free dental check ups for people in the community who could not afford dental care.
I really like the ERGO baby carriers!

A couple of months ago, my neighbors offered to help me dig a 20-foot trench in my front yard to accommodate a hedge. It was really hard work because the ground was full of rocks and clay. To thank them, I went to pick up a 12-pack of beer (none for me — I’m nursing!). Can’t remember why, but I couldn’t take my car, so I took my son in his Chariot bike stroller. The case was too heavy and awkward to carry so I put it at the foot of the Chariot, covered it with a blanket and laid my son’s feet on top. Well, little mister protested like you wouldn’t believe at first, but after a while he calmed down — I think he enjoyed laying back with his feet up on a case of beer. (Let’s Go Strolling — with a Bugaboo!)

I guess I am not the only one who has used their stroller to haul pumpkins!!!! I am crushing on the phil and teds sport buggy!
June 27th, 2008 at 6:25 pm
We have an old stroller that we got as a hand-me-down, and my daughter loves to tote it around grandma’s house with all of her books, puzzles, dolls, play clothes. Every once in a while she likes to empty it and asks me to push her doing wheelies!
I would love to try out the Skip Hop SaddleBag on out Maclaren or Phil and Teds.

It was January of 2004 and I was posting on a message board that I frequent. A woman there had a thread about how badly she wanted a Bugaboo. I had never heard of such a thing, but after investigation I wanted one too…bad! Only problem, I did not have a child and had no plans on having a child.
It all changed that day. I became somewhat obsessed with getting a Bugaboo. I also became determined to have a child.
Fast forward to October 2007. I was blessed with the most perfect baby boy at 6:18 in the morning. Life could not be better. Well, it could be slightly better if I could stroll said boy around in a still much wanted Bugaboo.
So, I guess my craziest use of a stroller was to conceive my son.
While the Bugaboos certainly caught my eye on letsgostrolling.com, I have to say, the ‘Boy Meets Girl’ Pink & Blue Limited Edition Valco Twin Trimode is pretty darn cute. Don’t worry, I will not become obsessed with conceiving twins
Because I go everywhere with my stroller, the diaper bags that attached to strollers are always of interest to me. I have a Skip Hop and those are the ones I gravitated toward when looking on the site. Specifically, the Skip Hop Duo Double would be my next purchase.

The Ergo baby carrier is awesome. I’ve used my stroller for groceries, as a display for selling eggs and as a seat for myself when necessary!
June 28th, 2008 at 7:23 am
We adopted our boys when they were older, so we didn’t use a stroller, but I’ve seen them at local amusement parks toting all kinds of things, including a fully grown woman, teetering on the edge! At the site, I like the Skip Hop Duo Double. I’d love a Bugaboo for my neice’s child.

wow. very impressed with the strollers LetsGoStrolling offers. I would have to say, although I need single stroller, not a double, the boy meets girl stroller is gorgeous…and unique. I have never seen anything like it!
when my son was a baby, we used to take two strollers shopping, one for him and one for our packages. people would often look at us strangely as to … “two strollers… one baby… where’d the other one go?” it was quite commical!
We have used our strollers past and present for all sorts of things

I absolutely love Lexi Barnes Darling Stroller Bag. My stroller story I’m sure is the most common. Having two small children we opted for the dual stroller. Living in San Francisco, we were also faced with endless hills. I mean, e-n-d-l-e-s-s. Because of the weight, we’d often put our bags in the stroller and let the kids charge the last couple of hills before home. This was also a great nap-inducer. It took an extra 20 minutes but it was a great excuse to catch our breath.

OMG I absolutely covet the mocha orbit stroller/carseat combo. I dont know how crazy of a use i have for my stroller, but when it’s folded up in the trunk of my car I use it as a trunk organizer, to keep all the little items and purchases from rolling around all over.
June 28th, 2008 at 10:14 am
The Orbitz Baby System looks wonderful. How neat to have such a complete baby gear to go for on the go families. When our son started walking we would let him walk behind and push the dog!
June 28th, 2008 at 10:56 am
Wacky stroller adventures..How do I choose. It seems that most times I put the babe in the stroller I also bring along a carrier “just in case” half the time I end up carrying my son and pushing the stroller. Just the other day I was walking home from downtown with a bottle of Kombucha that started to leak all over the place so I put it in the funky cup holder and it slipped out the bottom and crashed to the ground sending glass and fizzy drink all over. A new stroller would be amazing. I also love the pewter emily storksak. How I dream…

Disclaimer: First time parents
Hi! I think our craziest stroller incident has to be when we attended a cousin’s rugby match. It was family from out of town and we really wanted to go. It was our first rugby match and one of the first times to be out in the sun for an extended amount of time with our son. We didn’t realize the match was in a stadium with stands for people to sit in so we decided to leave the stroller in the car. We brought our son in the stands and then quickly realized it was way too hot and bright for him so we decided the shade of the stroller would be good (he would not wear his hat). I then walked out to the car and back to get the stroller – mind you the car was pretty far and it was very hot too. I get back with the stroller, and now I’m all sweaty – yuck, yuck, yuck (we live in Texas so its super hot) and we decided to take it up in the stands. His current stroller is one of those super duper ones – very large and heavy. The rest of our family was sitting high up in the stands with a good viewing spot. I can only imagine what all the other parents thought as we began to attempt to get that big heavy stroller up in the stands, with our son sitting in it. All eyes were on us and we were making a spectacle of ourselves. It was quiet a chore and we struggled not to let the stroller go crashing down. We got about a fourth of the way up and decided it would be safer and easier to stay at the bottom and watch from there. Now about this time, my husband and I are both a mess. We are drenched in sweat and yucky. After we finally get situated, I give my son some juice in a sippy cup, the lid comes off and juice goes all over me, him and the stroller. To make a long story short, I still have yet to view my first rugby game as we had to leave.
I would love either the Micralite Toro stroller (would be much easier to handle than my current one) or the Caden Lane Convertible Backpack. I would be overjoyed with either. Thank you!

I love Phil and Teds Sports Buggy! I, at one time, used an old stroller as a dumping place for all things that weren’t supposed to be on the floor!! It was sort of a dresser/dump
June 28th, 2008 at 12:13 pm
First off, the Ironman stroller caught my eye instantly…love the look, style, colors and portability.
Now for my little story (true by the way);
My youngest daughter went to pre-K this past year and everyday, this was my means of getting her to school and back (she was on half days since pre-k doesn’t run fulltime here in Corpus Christi TX). It was great because the school allowed me to leave the stroller in the front office so I didn’t have to walk a mile and a half home and back (with an empty stroller at hand). It was a runners stroller and was pretty big and bulky, but it was given to me and it worked well getting the job done.
Anyways, on the last day of school, as usual, I walked my daughter to school and came home…waited a few hours and went back to get both girls (one in pre-k and one in kindergarten, but Patience (my kinder girl) always walked since she was the BIG girl).
That final day of school; our lovely, bulky, much needed stroller became a stroller for all the goodies my daughters were bringing home for their summer vacation. This stroller was a packed one, filled with backpacks that were filled with papers, tissue boxes, pictures, and food from their last day of school party. We also had the stroller filled with jackets, toys, hand made projects and sopping wet clothes because they had water sports. Now, we walked a mile and a half home and I was backpacking my littlest one, strolling the “filled to the brim” stroller and walking beside my big girl. That mile and a half felt like four. It was the hardest walk, but without the stroller I couldn’t even imagine how aweful this trip would have been. The stroller was a real God send that final day of school. Now, it sits, folded up near my front door collecting purses and dust until the next school year roles around in a few months. I don’t like it anymore because it’s sun bleached and is getting pretty old, but until we could get a new one…this one stays.
Wonderful giveaway, thanks for the chance to win. I’m sure it will go to a good home.

My niece just had twins, she is only 18. She was looking at the Bugaboo Frog. We had so much to buy for the new babies, we could not afford what she really wanted, the Bugaboo Frog. This would be a wonderful suprise for her.

I guess it’s more common than whacky, but we’ve used our stroller many, many times for shopping at the mall and craft fairs and farmers markets. I love the Storksak Jamie!

I don’t know how wacky this is but my cocker is so jealous that before I can get the baby in the stroller he jumps in and won’t stop until I push him to the end of the driveway. How jealous is that?

For the past couple of years our stroller has served a very important purchase – it carries our children’s curriculum around as we pile on purchases at spring and fall book sales. As a homeschooling family, we go to quite a few. Books are so heavy and we always buy so many. We make it a habit to bring the stoller, not for the children, but for the books. We fill the basket, pile up the drink carrier and overload the reclined seat. It works great even though we always get strange looks when people see me walking through the aisles pushing my precious books instead of my children.
I want a BumbleRide stroller. Letsgostrolling.com has such a great selection, it was hard to decide, but I love the fun colors of the Bumble strollers. We are hoping to get one for our new baby … and his books!
June 28th, 2008 at 7:41 pm
Our stroller has become the traveling changing table in the recline position. Doesn’t matter whether we are at the airport or at the mall there is a clean (at least his own germs) place for my baby boy’s nalgas. Caden Lane Messenger Bag makes me drool!
June 28th, 2008 at 7:55 pm
I love the Skip Hop City Chic diaper bag! I think the wackiest way my husband and I ever used our baby girl’s stroller was when we marched with it on Mardi Gras day in New Orleans. We dressed up our baby girl like a fairy and we had a blast!
Thanks for this fun giveaway!
June 28th, 2008 at 8:14 pm
I like others have over the years used our strollers to haul groceries, large produce at farmers markets, but by far the most unusual was when I was pregnant with my first and had just purchased what I thought was my dream stroller. We had a dog that somehow he squirmed out of my arms and fell onto a concrete slab. His leg was broken in 2 places. The dog was in a cast and could not put any weight on it for weeks and I could not carry him for more than a few moments. The dog was pushed, buckled in for many weeks in that stroller. He loved it and when the baby came 14 weeks early and she finally came home I would have to fight the dog to not to ride in the stroller with the baby. Honestly many a ride was had with a preemie and a 50 lb dog was taken in Yonkers NY
June 28th, 2008 at 9:04 pm
Well it isn’t exactly crazy but let’s just say my dogs have taken a ride or two in my daughter’s stroller
I couldn’t access the site, maybe too much traffic? But I LOVE the frog you show above. I’d love to win!

One year I used our stroller to carry items I bought at a Christmas flea market. My goal was to fill it and once it was filled, I had to quit shopping. I stuffed as much as I could in that stroller and wouldn’t you know a lot can be stuffed in that thing! It was a sure way to keep my husband from dragging me out. Guess he thought I couldn’t do much damage.
If I were to get a nice stroller, I would have to choose the “Boy meets Girl” double stroller. I have a 8-month old daughter and 2-year old son. My 9-year old son could push the stroller, while I spend a whole weekend at the flea market filling it some more!
June 29th, 2008 at 4:06 am
I really like the Phil and Ted’s vibe stroller. My son’s stroller is borrowed by my cousin every Black Friday so that she doesn’t have to carry her shopping bags.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:41 am
The Fleurville Lexie Tote is really cute. I wish I had a “pretty & girly” diaper bag. sigh….. I have taken the stroller to the flea market (sans kids) and used it to lug all of our goodies around. It really is helpful especially for the fruit & veggies from the Farmer’s Market, that is located there.
June 29th, 2008 at 5:17 am
“I’ve used a stroller instead of a shopping cart. ~lol~”
rofl, that tickled me for some reason.
June 29th, 2008 at 6:23 am
I really like the Stokke Xplory Stroller. Our old battered, hand-me-down stroller frequently carried flats of plants from the local farmers market.
June 29th, 2008 at 6:52 am
First off- I love the snack and play travel tray for the carseat, my daughter would really enjoy that!! Second, funny stroller story?? Ummm well when we were moving we didnt have help one day to carry something in and I was completely useless to my husband of course, so he opened up the stroller, put the tv on it and wheeled it up to the house from the garage, I couldnt help but laugh realizing it wasnt too bad of an idea!
I’d love to win this stroller for baby #2 coming this summer! My daughter will be 4 next month and we still have the stroller from when she was a baby and its pretty beat up!
June 29th, 2008 at 7:38 am
I have not had my Bob stroller long but so far I use it at the grocery store to carry anything from beer to cat food and laundry detergent. I get funny looks from some of the employees at whole foods and worry that they think I am trying to take something. One day I did totally forget about one of the things I plopped in the stroller and the cashier said, “can you hand that to me?” I was so embarrassed that I forgot and handed her the giant 12 pack of toilet paper sitting in the front of the stroller. OOPS! I LOVE my BOB stroller with Peg Perego infant seat attached. I wish I had seen the orbit travel system…very cool!
June 29th, 2008 at 7:41 am
My brothers an I used to push our dog around in an old stroller, he loved it!!
I like the colors and layout of this site.
June 29th, 2008 at 8:05 am
I love the Storksak Gigi.Emily never wants to get in the stroller.Just pushing it around with us is enough to make her behave while walking. But I would really like to have this stroller to give to a friend who waits till the last minute to buy anything. Thanks for the giveaway!
June 29th, 2008 at 8:10 am
We kept our stroller around for quite a few years after the kids started walking so that we could go to arts and crafts shows with a lighter ‘cart’. I would love to get the Bugaboo Frog for my stepson’s first baby (he’ll be our first grandchild, yeah!).

THANK YOU GOD BLESS

Our cats vie for the coveted stroller seat. Usually one will be sitting in the seat and another will be in the footrest area. Occasionally there will even be a third in the basket underneath. I tried to capture this on video but they’re even harder to film than my kids are…
The 2008 Bumbleride Indie Twin and 2008 Mountain Buggy Urban Double are my droolworthy picks from Let’s Go Strolling. I have a 4 year old and an 11 month old and it would be nice to let them ride together. Of course, I would LOVE to have the Bugaboo Frog for Jasper!

There was a period of about 3 months that my daughter (about 10 months at the time) would not be happy unless she was in her stroller. We literally had to buy new wheels and got a lot of exercise. I love the bugaboo frog.
June 29th, 2008 at 10:31 am
Nice to give as a gift to a new mother.
June 29th, 2008 at 10:33 am
what a great prize
June 29th, 2008 at 10:39 am
The wackiest thing I’ve done with my stroller (and it isn’t that wacky) is using it to haul my daughter’s huge carseat around the airport. (I had my daughter in a sling since the stroller was otherwise occupied!) The diaper bag that caught my eye is the Skip Hop Via Backpack. I love the convenience of a backpack diaper bag and that one looks to have all the features I want.
June 29th, 2008 at 10:40 am
I like to take my son to the mall and carry him, but put my bags in/on my stroller. It is actually a better way to shop! Now, I can’t shop without a stroller!
I really like that orange Reese Li diaper bag and the Baby Jogger City Mini stroller. I do need a new stroller…
June 29th, 2008 at 10:42 am
We like being neat and in order, so we just just them for our children.
June 29th, 2008 at 10:43 am
We have used the stroller to transport our chairs, drinks etc for an outdoor concerts. You always have to park so far a way and the stroller saves on the back. Of course the kids stay home with a sitter. lol. I like the Mutsy 4 ride stroller. It would be more for the baby instead of us. We will use our old one to transport “stuff”.
June 29th, 2008 at 11:14 am
This stroller is awesome
June 29th, 2008 at 12:28 pm
That looks like a great stroller, although for the price if I don’t win, I’ll never know.
June 29th, 2008 at 1:39 pm
The orbit baby system is just so cool. The stroller I have now is the one I have had since I had my daughter seven years ago. I have also used it for my son. Now I have another baby on the way so a new stoller would be nice. Concidering the stroller I have now has been used as a barn mom stoller my daughter shows horses. It as been a water bucket, grain, saddles and everything else you could need to get ready for a horse show carrier. My stoller really does smell like a barn.
June 29th, 2008 at 2:09 pm
We used our stroller inside the condo to get our daughter to fall asleep for nap time.
Now that she’s an older toddler, she’ll use it for “clean up time”— she’ll collect all her toys in the stroller first then push it near her toy box to dump everything in there.
With baby number 2 on the way the Bugaboo Frog would be so nice. Though visiting the LetsGoStrolling site, the Ted & Phil’s Vibe and the Ironman Dualie both caught my fancy!
June 29th, 2008 at 2:53 pm
I used my stroller as a dolly for a bunch of cartons and binders I needed to carry into a meeting from my car. I realized, hey, I have the stroller and no baby today, so I might as well use it and only make one trip. I got a lot of funny looks.
I love the selection of double strollers.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:30 pm
I once used my stroller to carry a ton of change that I needed to deposit at the bank. It was way too heavy to carry so I carried my baby and transported the change in the stroller. I love the B.O.B. Revolution Duallie!
June 29th, 2008 at 7:22 pm
What way haven’t I used my stroller? OUr stroller has held three children, a plehtora of grocery bags, garage sale finds, etc. When our first daughter was born, she would not sleep unless she was being pushed in her stroller. I spent countless hours in my nightgown pushing her up and down our bumpy gravel driveway.
June 29th, 2008 at 7:48 pm
We use ours as a grocery cart, changing table, and wagon! That basket’s fair game, and if the baby wants to be carried, the seat is too!
I like the Orbit Baby Toddler System stroller and the Loom Zoom Kit bag!
June 29th, 2008 at 7:53 pm
Since this is my first child, I have not had a stroller to use in strange ways but my sister and I used one of her’s to push around and block other shoppers on Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving) to get into the front of the line or move other shoppers away from an item we were after. The baby was home with his daddy sleeping in!
The item that caught my eye the most was the Deluxe Sports Utility Stroller. I will need a good jog stroller to get back into pre-baby shape!
June 29th, 2008 at 8:01 pm
I like the EasyWalker All-Terrain because it looks easy to push around corners, something mine doesn’t do well.
I guess this isn’t too wacky but very common. I used it to lug around a pot and pan set I bought at the mall. That thing was bigger and heavier than baby so it really made sense to me.
June 29th, 2008 at 8:21 pm
The double baby joggers caught my eye. I am expecting twins this coming October, and being an active Mom already….we will be in the market for one of these. My oldest is 5 years old. One of the funniest things we used his Graco single stroller for was: we were at the MN State fair, and my husband kept winning huge stuffed prize after huge stuffed prize. He was really on a roll at the midway arcade. Before we knew it…we had about 10 of them. Luckily we had a bungy cord on our stroller. We took our 4 month old son out of his stroller and held him. Then we piled in the stuffed animals and bunged them all securely. It was a funny site, but helped us all get back to the car.

I really like the twin tri-mode runabout stroller. I have one little boy and another on the way, and I love the colors of this one! Probably the most creative thing I’ve ever done with our current stroller is use it as a weight loss aid! I would push my little boy up the hill and back down just to try and tone myself up. Plus it was a great way to get him to sleep!
June 29th, 2008 at 8:49 pm
We love using our Maclaren stroller when we fly. Our daughter walks in the airport while we strap her car seat into the stroller and then pile on all our carry-ons.
I think the Uppababy strollers look pretty interesting.
June 29th, 2008 at 8:57 pm
We left our stroller on the front porch on night and woke up to a cat and her litter of kittens sleeping on it. We let bought a new stroller lol.
June 29th, 2008 at 9:05 pm
I really like the Mountain Buggy Urban Single Elite. It looks great! I dont use my stroller a ton, so the funnest thing I did this year with my stroller (and my baby of course) is I did the race/walk for the cure (for breast cancer). My stroller is not a sports stroller so it was interesting. but it worked.
June 29th, 2008 at 10:32 pm
I usually use my stroller as a grocery cart. I try to walk to the store with my youngest in the stroller. At some point, he’ll usually get out and I just pile the groceries in his seat.
The jujube between is pretty cool. I want one!
June 29th, 2008 at 11:15 pm
Love the Bugaboo
June 30th, 2008 at 3:56 am
I was walking with my daughters one day when we happened upon a neighborhood garage sale about 6 blocks from home. I saw one of those two feet tall glass bottles with a cork stopper,(like you’d use to brew your own, ya know? LOL) and HAD to have it! It was only $6, so I unloaded the toddler from the stroller and buckled in a big glass moonshine bottle instead.
I think the Bugaboo Frog is the coolest!
June 30th, 2008 at 5:51 am
I actually really like that boy/girl twin Valco. Very cute! I’ve never seen anything like it.
We’ve only used our stroller for most of the standard stuff (besides carrying baby!). Sometimes we hold the baby while pushing cat food bags or other big items.
June 30th, 2008 at 6:38 am
That Micralite Toro looks really interesting.
We use our Phil and Ted to carry all kinds of things (along with our kids, of course). Maybe the weirdest thing we carried was my husband’s kayak gear in the front while our littlest one sat in the jump seat down below.
June 30th, 2008 at 6:41 am
We love the Ergo baby carrier. We’ve used our stroller to carry groceries.
June 30th, 2008 at 7:12 am
My husband used the Bugaboo Cameleon stroller to carry me down when I strained my ankle hiking on “Snow Lake Mountain” near Seattle, Washington. He held our baby with his free hand.
Also, we like the Skip Hop via Backpack. Stylish and plain. Good for both mom and dad. We can go to a restaurant or the beach with it. The Silver Line Convertible backpack looks good too. Wish we could see a closeup of all it’s functionality.
June 30th, 2008 at 7:19 am
No crazy stroller stories here – how boring am I? I dig the Phil and Ted’s Vibe Stroller.
June 30th, 2008 at 7:20 am
I really like the mocha orbit stroller/carseat combo. Honestly, I don’t think I ever used my strollers for anything but seats for the kids! Did wheel around some packages in them a few times and let the kids walk -lol.
June 30th, 2008 at 7:21 am
At a recent family reunion, we used our stroller as a high chair and make shift bed for her to snooze. We have three strollers and all of them serve different purposes but I’d really like to have one great all-around stroller. Not too light, not too heavy and plenty of storage areas and support. I’ve got my eye on the Bugaboo Frog!
June 30th, 2008 at 8:08 am
When we were moving, we used a found stroller like a Dolly to move largish items. It really helped! But, the stroller was never quite the same.
I like the Skip Hop Via Messenger and the Bugaboo Frog (with the Bugaboo Wheeled Board for older siblings). Nice and modern.
June 30th, 2008 at 8:30 am
I LOVE the bumbleride indie twin on the LGS site. My stroller always seems to be carrying food – groceries, alcohol, snacks you name it. Everything but a child.
June 30th, 2008 at 8:40 am
we use our stroller for everything, occasionally, we actually take our baby in it! But more frequently, it is our shopping cart when we hit the outlet malls or our poolside carier with our beach bag, snacks, change of clothes, etc. The Phil and Ted’s Sport Buggy with Todler Seat looks awesome and would be perfect for our 3 year old and 3 month old!
June 30th, 2008 at 11:22 am
We were pushing our stroller around in a amusement park one time with our bags piled in it an carrying our baby an one of the people who work there dressed as a hillbilly screamed out loud to the top of his lungs,Then cried an he sank to his knees while everyone stopped an watched,my husband was frozen stiff, the hillbilly guy shouted MR!MR!YOUR BABY HAS DONE WENT AN TURNED INTO A BAG!Everyone but my husband thought it was hysterical,he doesnt like to be the center of attention,oh wellllllllll, lol,it was funny,I like the EasyWalker All-Terrain,they look easy to handle, thanks so much
June 30th, 2008 at 11:40 am
The Easy Walker All terrain is beautiful.
I had one of these old fashioned boxed stroller like in the Adams Family. I used it for my puppy.
June 30th, 2008 at 12:10 pm
The bugaloo is fantastic!
June 30th, 2008 at 12:34 pm
When I was newly pregnant with ds, a sweet old neighbor gave me a used rusty rickety pram-type stroller. I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t have been very safe for a baby). One day, another neighbor called me in tears that she ran over a cat in the street and that it had 3 kittens following it. She was not an animal lover, so I took the kittens to the vet for a checkup and shots. The kittens were able to eat regular food so I took the kittens in the pram (it had a pretty deep bed and a bent up but well covered canopy) and brought them to the front of a local specialty pet shop. I sat outside with the pram with the kittens well hidden inside and a big sign on the front that read “Free to a Good Home”. Just the look on people’s faces was worth my afternoon spent there; not to mention all 3 kittens went to great homes that day!
As I am now expecting #2 this fall and have a 25-month old, I NEED the Bob Revolution Duallie stroller. Badly. I also could really use the Bugaboo Frog because our first stroller is not so hot. I will definitely need a new single stroller for outings with the new baby once ds starts preschool.
June 30th, 2008 at 1:12 pm
Love their Phil and Ted’s Vibe Stroller. We use our stroller to go everywhere even as my hubby calls it 4-wheeling? That means we take it off road and try to push it around. UGH!
June 30th, 2008 at 2:01 pm
The single running Bob Revolution stroller in pink and black is pretty slick. Many times there’s no room for baby as the stroller has become a rolling shopping and picnic basket!
June 30th, 2008 at 2:24 pm
I am expecting my first child, so I don’t have any stories about wacky ways I’ve used strollers. However, I can imagine that it can be a great way to carry things around when an extra hand is needed.
I love all of the diaper bags and strollers, but thought the double stroller that is half pink/half blue was the best!

June 30th, 2008 at 3:11 pm
My son is only 3 months old, so I don’t have any crazy stories yet, but since we live in town, I definitely use the stroller for things other than the little one. I’ve used it to bring home potted plants while I carried my baby and also snuggled some library books around him. I’ve also used it as a bassinet for him to nap in while we were visiting my mom.
Oh, and I like the Caden Lane convertible backpack.
June 30th, 2008 at 5:38 pm
We have used our strollers for so many things. I think that my favorite was watching my wife use it as a walker after major surgery. Since she could not carry anything heavy and had a hard time walking, she used the stroller for just about everything – inside the house. We like the Bob Revolution stroller. It would be nice to have a jogger with a swivel wheel!
June 30th, 2008 at 7:18 pm
I’ve used my sons stroller to carry groceries from the car to the second floor apt.
June 30th, 2008 at 7:29 pm
I love the Bugaboo Bee – really cute
June 30th, 2008 at 7:46 pm
I’ve never owned a stroller before, but our baby’s due this fall. I love the Bugaboo Cameleon! Mainly because I love the feature of the reversible seat and the wonderful look. And my favorite diaper bag would be the Storksak Elizabeth. It’s multipurpose and trendy at the same time! Got to love that!
June 30th, 2008 at 10:30 pm
I love the designer diaper bags. Where were these things when I had my first baby. I had the traditional mint green plaid diaper bag with, I don’t know, maybe some kind of baby animal or something. Yuck. I want style. Thanks for bringing it! And thanks for the great contest!

I rigged an umbrella stroller up to try and haul my gear across a beach on a ten-day camping trip to Horn Island, MS. It didn’t work, needless to say!

Phil and Ted’s vibe stroller
July 1st, 2008 at 2:08 pm
Wow! The boy meets girl/pink meets blue twin stroller is the coolest stroller, EVER! What a neat idea! I don’t have any super crazy stories since my first child is only 5 months old, but I have been known to use my stroller as a shopping cart and a dog tie! Thanks for the chance!
July 1st, 2008 at 6:47 pm
Our stroller is generally used to haul bags and not kids. They start off riding but end up walking or being carried. So it usually becomes a cart/bag holder.
the Stokke xplory is amazing. I love that your kids can sit up higher and are not so close to the ground.
July 1st, 2008 at 9:07 pm
I really like the Phil and Ted’s Vibe Stroller and the ERGO baby carriers. Before I tell my story, I just want to apologize to my Aunt Diane. My only excuse is that I was young and dumb and it was the early nineties. When I was in college, my Aunt Diane loaned me her car for a weekend. In the back was a baby stroller that we used to push a keg up to our dorm. If that wasn’t bad enough we put a big black garbage bag in the seat, put the keg back in and packed it in ice. We joked all night long about having a mobile party. We even pushed it to different locations in the dorm through out the night.
July 2nd, 2008 at 6:26 am
I used to use the stroller to take up room in my trunk so I wouldn’t have to haul stuff for people.
July 2nd, 2008 at 10:18 am
I love that often times we have had to carry our twins and use teh strolelr as transport for all of our “stuff” for the beach or picnics! We have used it for everything from strolling our nephew to our foods!
I love the orbit stroller and the jujubetween diaper bag in mint julep!
July 2nd, 2008 at 5:47 pm
I have used the stroller as a shopping cart and carry everything on it. Also when my son who was too old for a stroller was tired he would ride in it anyway. The Phil and Ted’s Sport Buggy Stroller with Toddler Seat is so cute!! Thanks for the contest1
July 2nd, 2008 at 6:25 pm
when you have twins you have to use your stroller for everything, i would have everytihng in there from fresh veggies to gallons of milk.
the boy meets girl catches my eye as i have never seen anytihng like that and i am a twin mom!!
July 2nd, 2008 at 8:37 pm
Our old carriage still hauls vegetables from a local farmer’s market. Need a newer one for a grandchild.
July 3rd, 2008 at 2:56 am
My cat Panda had just been declawed and her poor little feet hurt so bad that I would wheel her to her feed and water dish for a couple days so she could rest her feet!
July 3rd, 2008 at 6:55 am
Wow, there is SO many to choose from. I love the Queen B and also the Cameleon strollers. My baby is due in October so I don’t have any stories to tell yet. Maybe I’ll win this and i won’t have any horror stories cause these strollers ROCK !!!
July 3rd, 2008 at 9:28 am
I loved the Phil and Ted’s Vibe Stroller, it looks so sleek and well designed.
The wackiest thing I’ve used my stroller for was to push my dog in it when he hurt his leg, and carry my daughter on my back at the same time, people thought I was crazy!
July 3rd, 2008 at 12:11 pm
I just love the Orbit — can’t afford it, but WOW is it cool!
My favorite unusual use for strollers, specifically my Graco duo-glide double stroller is to strap one britax in the back and the other britax in the front and use it to cart carseats and gear through airports. I use an Ergo carrier for infants and toddlers and the older kids have to walk!
July 3rd, 2008 at 7:32 pm
There are so many great things on their site but I really like Phil and Ted’s Vibe Stroller. When I married my husband he had a dog that had been hit by a car and lost a leg. He has become so attached to me but with his arthritis he can’t go on walks. So I use a stroller to be able to bring him along with me (the dog that is). I put his treats in the the basket along with his water. His favorite stuffed animal rides with him. In the morning he lays by the stroller just waiting to go.
July 3rd, 2008 at 11:34 pm
My favorite stroller is the Bumbleride Indie (in pretty much any color). My favorite bag would be the Lexie Barnes Darling Stroller bag (because it is just that..darling)! I am currently pregnant with our first child so no wacky stroller stories to date….I’m sure that they will come in time! =0)
July 4th, 2008 at 3:03 am
Our stroller has been used thoroughly as a baby stroller, shopping cart, scooter and tricycle carrier and also used by our imaginative kids as a toy hauler, safari truck, boat, airplane, and car sometimes all in the same day. Unfortunately and fortunately it’s time for it to RETIRE and I hate it! I need a new stroller for safety reasons and because I can’t even turn corners with this one.
I love the Orbit Baby System and the Storksak Claire diaper bag.
July 4th, 2008 at 7:11 am
Baby Approved?
July 4th, 2008 at 9:29 am
I loved the Skip Hop Backpack and the Phil and Ted’s Vibe Stroller.
We own a double stroller that weights about 25 lbs. Last summer, wanting to get in shape after my second child, I would load my 30 lbs. 3 year old and my 22 lbs. 1 year old along with about a 25 lbs. diaper bag on the stroller. I would walk about 4 miles to and from the zoo or park on a 100 degree weather. Sometimes I would even carry a little girlfriend as well. I think I would push about 125 lbs. It was insane but I got fit really quick.
July 4th, 2008 at 5:17 pm
I love the boy meets girl double stroller
July 4th, 2008 at 6:32 pm
We have two small dogs (Maltese) and a cat named Calico. The dogs have had many rides in the stroller and Calico has been dressed in doll clothes and strolled around almost on a daily basis there for a while! Love ALL the strollers especially the Bugaboo Cameleon and the Diaper Dude Camo bag! Wow! Super giveaway! Thanks for the opportunity!
July 5th, 2008 at 5:19 am
absolutely covet the mocha orbit stroller/carseat combo. I dont know how crazy of a use i have for my stroller, but when it’s folded up in the trunk of my car I use it as a trunk organizer, to keep all the little items and purchases from rolling around all over.
July 5th, 2008 at 6:54 am
Wow, those are pretty cool strollers LetsGoStrolling.com sells! I like the Phil and Ted’s Vibe stroller. I have generally tried to follow the unwritten stroller code by only transporting infants and toddlers (and shopping bags, of course) on my four wheelers. Although we have enjoyed a fast-paced stroller race or two (who hasn’t)?
July 5th, 2008 at 8:33 am
I like the Mugsy Urban Rider Stroller System and 2008 Bob Revolution.
Years ago I used my stroller for groceries and carrying mall packages. Now I hope to win the stroller for the grandchildren that are coming. I am rural now so the all terrain strollers caught my attention.
July 5th, 2008 at 10:05 am
LetsGoStrolling has an amazing selection of great quality strollers. I’ve owned my fair share of strollers in the 3 years we’ve had use for them. We’re probably most memorable in our neighborhood because they can see us coming from a mile away with our bright yellow Bob Ironman with our child on the inside and our (very loud) parrot riding on perch we attached to the handle. The ride is so smooth that it relaxes both of our “children”.
July 5th, 2008 at 4:32 pm
My husband and I have been married for over a year. We are thinking of having a baby sometime soon. So it would be great if we can win this stroller to take our baby around for a walk. I love the Orbit Baby Stroller. Thanks for the offer.
July 5th, 2008 at 4:58 pm
i like the bumbleride indie and i never thought to use the stroller for anything but the babe.
July 5th, 2008 at 9:45 pm
I love the Phil and Ted’s vibe stroller. With my first son, I took him on the majority of my business trips and went through 2 strollers a year because of the wear and tear that occurs with airport transportation. The worst thing that ever happened to me with them was the day I left the stroller in my rental car. Not very exciting I know, but I kicked myself big-time for losing a 200.00 stroller in the wink of an eye!
July 5th, 2008 at 9:58 pm
I like the phil and teds sport buggy. I use my sister’s stroller to give zippy rides to my nieces.
July 6th, 2008 at 3:45 am
I have been drooling over the Stokke Xplory Complete ever since we became pregnant. I love the fact that baby is up close to you and higher than other strollers. As far as crazy ways to use strollers go, using the space for keeping coolers at summer concerts is the best! Thanks!
July 6th, 2008 at 10:55 am
I’ve attempted to fasten two of the cheap/free with purchase ones together to transport twins, it didn’t work so well! I love the ‘Boy Meets Girl’ Pink & Blue Limited Edition Valco Twin Trimode great for twins
July 6th, 2008 at 8:28 pm
i love the phil and ted vibe stroller. A few years age when my older girls were the ages of my youngest two, our car broke down and we were having a party the next day. I walked my girls in our double stroller 3 miles to the store. Most everything fit in the basket underneath except the watermelon. I put the baby in a sling and tucked the watermelon in her seat. On the way home we cut through the park to stay under the shade trees and several people were shocked to peak in and see a big old melon instead of a baby!
July 7th, 2008 at 9:00 am
After shopping at Letsgostrolling, I love the Valco Latitude Single. I currently have a Trek 3 wheen all terain jogging stroller. Well if you need a stroller to hold something, this is it. We have put everything in this stroller from grown ups to tipsy to walk home to grocerys, shopping bags, art guild items and even our very on 12 pound dog.
Just recently I manangaed to stack our 2 year old, 4 beach chairs, 4 towels, a cooler, and a basket full of beach toys and made it from the parking lot all the way to the beach! On our way out we just hosed everything down including the stroller and kept on truckin’. I am not sure what life with out a stroller would be like espcially since my toddeler is 35 pounds.
I am in desperate need of a new stroller that I can take places and it be managable.
Thanks for this opportunity.

Ok, so this is gross, but unfortunately true. Our stroller was once used as a diaper. Pictures it: a more than packed train out of NYC on a holiday weekend. People standing everywhere. My 9 month old was in a stroller wedged inbetween my fam and I in the seats that face each other. We all start noticing an AWFUL odor and soon realize that her diaper has leaked all over to the point that the seat of the stroller is completely saturated and actually leaking into the basket below. What to do? There is no where to take her to change her, and we know for a fact that once we take her out of the stroller the mess will grow exponentially and we would need a hazmat team at this point. So we shoved absorbent items (meaning our extra t shirts) all around her and in the basket and rode out the rest of the trip to the CT station. The only thing that didn’t get thrown out when we got off the train and could assess the damage was the baby.
I love all the strollers at LGS, probably because I am not very happy with the one I have currently and want a new one but can’t really justify it because there is nothing “wrong” with the one I have. The Bugaboos and the Quinnys are my faves.
July 7th, 2008 at 11:50 am
I’ve used our MBUD to haul gardening supplies up the hill from backyard to front garden.
I could really use the Baby Jogger City Elite Single!
July 7th, 2008 at 1:04 pm
I have often used the stroller as a luggage cart going through airports. The stroller looks like some Bedouin desert truck, pile high and precarious. I like the Bumbleride pram because it reminds me when you used to use a pram to take a baby for a walk, rather than to help you zip from one organized activity to another.
July 7th, 2008 at 1:19 pm
my favorite item is the Phil and Ted’s Vibe Stroller with toddler seat – they make awesome products. i will often use the stroller as a shopping cart
July 7th, 2008 at 1:29 pm
I’m glad to see I’m not the only crazy one to use a stroller as a shopping cart! I have done that too many times to count, but got the oddest looks after hitting a Disneystore sale and had to wheel all those giant bags to the car with my toddler in tow! My favorite stroller is the Zooper 2008 Tango! I hope I win this one!
July 7th, 2008 at 1:48 pm
I need that universal cup holder! Okay, as for unusual uses for strollers. At the end of my last pregnancy as the due date came and went, I took to walking around the neighborhood with dh and our baby at the time to try to get labor started. One day I felt sure “this was it” as contractions started up as I walked. They got so bad I could barely walk. Dh took baby out of the stroller and offered to push me back home. I declined and shuffled off home, only to have no contractions once I got there! Dh was deadly serious though! What a sight that would have been for the neighbors!
July 7th, 2008 at 2:07 pm
Phil and Ted’s Sport Buggy Stroller is my favorite.
When my daughter was young I owned a little dog. The dog would want to walk with me but would give out after a few minutes and refuse to walk. I would put her in the basket of the stroller. She would bark when we would pass someone and they would look startled at my daughter until they noticed the dog.
I haven’t used my son’s for anything weird but we do really pack it down when shopping or going to the park sometimes. It looks funny with water bottles hanging from the handle.
July 7th, 2008 at 5:18 pm
Phil and Teds Sports Buggy! I used my stroller for my kids long after my kids needed it just to carry packages when I went to the mall!!
July 7th, 2008 at 5:26 pm
The Ergo baby carrier is awesome
July 7th, 2008 at 9:46 pm
Sports Buggy!!!
July 7th, 2008 at 10:07 pm
We used out stroller as a makeshift shopping cart on occassion
July 8th, 2008 at 12:44 pm
i can’t really think of a whole lot of crazy things we’ve used the stroller for, although the basket underneath is perfect for carting a 6-pack of beer home after a “stroll” to the drop-in store at the top of our hill! probably not what the fine people at graco had in mind…
letsgostrolling.com is an AMAZING site, so easy to navigate and narrow down the huge list of strollers by what you’re looking for. i’m currently in the market for a lightweight stroller since i’m sick of lugging my big one around. the uppababy g-lite looks like it would fit that bill nicely and of course i’m drooling on my keyboard over the bugaboo frog.

My current stroller comes in handy for carting kids and groceries (usually not at the same time). Twin Trimode Runabout with toddler seat is great.
July 8th, 2008 at 1:31 pm
When traveling our double stroller becomes a luggage cart. When around the house we use the stroller to transport large items like, oh, one time a microwave to the next room. We of course place the kiddos in it.
July 8th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
Well we are pregnant with our first child, due in August, so we don’t have any crazy stories of wild stroller use…yet. The real story is how much research I’ve been doing into strollers. I started looking at strollers in January. I’ve spent hours and hours on line looking at various baby stores and blogs and reading reviews and comparing options. I’ve even viewed many of the youtube stroller reviews to see how easy they fold, manuever, etc.
I am a graphic designer and aesthetics have been a major part of my research, but I am also very fanatical about quality, craftsmanship and technology and of course, safety. So visually, my first looks were into all of the European strollers, mostly the Quinny Buzz. I really like the pram/bassinett features that some of these strollers offer, but as I soon began to realize, this is not an important feature because it is really only useable for 3 months or so and most of the used strollers I’ve seen with this option, the bassinett part is unused. When i finally made it out to the suburbs to test drive the quinny, i discovered that i didn’t like the way it felt at all. Yes, it looks great, but it also feels wobbly, like it could fall apart.
I thought I had come to a conclusion. A compromise on aesthetics for price with the Maxi Cosi Babies R Us exclusive Foray stroller. Very similar to the Quinny but not as Tech and zero color options. But the more i thought about the price, the more I decided that a little more money could get a much better stroller. So back to the research. Two other strollers came up. As I kept reading reviews, everyone seems to be talking about Bugaboo. I hadn’t looked at this previously because of it’s price. The second was the Uppababy Vista. I had seen this stroller advertised in various free baby mags from the doctors office. Being the designer, I had dismissed this stroller solely based upon the logo, how silly.
So again, out to the suburbs to test drive.
At this point I am really caught between the easy rolling, lightweight, light folding Bugaboo Cameleon, and the more durably built, easily adjustable and better color selection of the Uppababy Vista (and lower price). Ideally I would hybrid the two. I’ve even started drawing sketches of what that might look like. In the end, they are all too expensive. I would definitely prefer a stroller that will last, is light and compactable, but I think the price gap is too great. Jumping from 250 to over 600 is a huge amount. There are almost no negative reviews for the Bugaboo (other than price), but the Uppababy seems better constructed and it is more easily adjustable. (to adjust seat angle, there is a lever in the back of the seat rather than at the connection points).
i also like the idea of the orbitz stroller, the way everything is interchangeable and with the little rocking part too. however, i personally think that it is kind of ugly and clunky looking, and for the price of this system, I think it definitely needs aesthetic improvements. I have yet to see this in real life to test drive and what not.

Woo Hoo! what a great looking Bugaboo Frog stroller! Never had such a nice one as that! Mine was only used for the baby because it was cheap.
thanks for the opportunity to win one.

After a long weekend of hiking, my dalmatian had some very sore blisters on her pads. Having not realised this, we set out for our evening stroll and half way around I realized the dog was not going to make it the whole way home. With some quick thinking, the dog went in the stroller and curled up into a ball, baby (who was sleeping) fitted neatly in the middle of the curled up dog and there I was pushing both of my “kids” around the neighborhood!
July 8th, 2008 at 6:26 pm
The bugaboo would be perfect for grandbaby.
July 8th, 2008 at 9:39 pm
The new Phil and Ted’s Vibe stroller looks really nice!
We visit theme parks quite a bit, and I’ve found myself using the stroller as the food carrier and bag holder quite a bit. More expensive than a shopping cart, but much more versatile.
July 9th, 2008 at 12:55 am
Our craziest stroller story isn’t about how we used OUR stroller, it’s about how, after 5 days packing a 4 year old girl ALL over Prague (while 7 months pregnant, no less) we STOLE someone else’s stroller!
We were flying to Prague for my brother’s wedding, and the airline insisted it would be better for us to check our stroller. Lies. It never ended up in Prague. We could not find a stroller for sale anywhere in the city, and 1/2 way through our trip we ate at a restaurant for the 2nd time (they were right next to our hotel). We saw a stroller that was still in lost and found days after we first saw it. We asked the waiter how long it had been there and he said “MONTHS” so we slyly asked if we could borrow it for the rest of our trip lol That cheap umbrella stroller was a god send for my poor back and my poor daughter’s legs.
Holy smokes, the Phil and Ted’s Vibe Stroller has more features than my car! lol Thanks for hosting this AMAZING giveaway.
July 9th, 2008 at 2:40 am
I would love a Bugaboo! It would be perfect for our BellaBoo, she is new to our world so no crazy stroller stories yet, although it did double as a luggage carrier during our first family trip last week:)
July 9th, 2008 at 7:47 am
I have used my stroller as a shopping cart many, many times! I just love the Bugaboo Frog Stroller! Thanks for the opportunity!
July 9th, 2008 at 12:34 pm
I really like the pink and blue Valco Twin Trimode stroller. So adorable! The most unusual thing I’ve used our stroller for is to take out the recycling. I needed to get it to the curb quickly and there was a lot of it. I saw the stroller in the corner, and that’s when I came up with the idea. It came in very useful that day!
July 9th, 2008 at 2:55 pm
I like the ‘Boy Meets Girl’ Pink & Blue Limited Edition Valco Twin Trimode. Very unique and eyecatching!
Loading bags of groceries into the car is the easy part; the hard part is getting them out of the trunk and into the house. Rather than make trip after trip, I would use the stroller to wheel them to the door.

My son could really use this!
July 9th, 2008 at 6:06 pm
I used to be addicted to QVC and I lived within walking distance of the post office. Once I strolled over there after having come back from vacation with my daughter and I had 12-15 little white QVC boxes to pick up. I had to surround my little girl in her stroller with stacks and stacks of those QVC boxes. It was the most ridiculous and embarrassing thing to stroll down the street like that but thank goodness for the stroller carrying capacity! I love the Bugaboo frog stroller, by the way.
July 9th, 2008 at 7:15 pm
This stroller looks like the cadilac version! This would be handy! My daughter is in the hospital waiting for her baby to be delivered. I’ve used my stroller to bring groceries in the house instead of lugging them in manually!ty 4 the great contest!:)
July 9th, 2008 at 7:18 pm
I liked the Bugaloo Frog stroller. I do not have any kids so I do not have any crazy stroller stories but I do work with low-income children and if I won, I would donate it to one of the families that needs it.
July 9th, 2008 at 8:20 pm
My wife and I do not have a stroller as of yet, or baby isnt due until Dec! This would make a great first stroller though
I really like the ERGO baby carriers. looks comfortable and very back friendly.
Thanks
July 9th, 2008 at 8:53 pm
I love the Bugaboo Chameleon! Like many other people, I use my stroller for shopping and hauling things, especially at festivals and faires!
July 9th, 2008 at 10:33 pm
The Fleurville Lexie Tote is a beautiful diaper bag but I can see it being used long after the baby is out of diapers. It would be perfect for overnighters and other toting uses.
As for wacky uses for old strollers… well, here’s one! Take an old stroller from the flea market or yard sale, if you can find the very old kind that is more like a box on wheels, it’s even better. Spray paint the stroller if it needs a little pick up. You can find fabric spray paint if you need it.
Next you line it with a heavy trash bag and fill it with soil and plant blooming flowers in pink or blue in it. Or you can just fill it with pots of already planted flowers. Go lush, fill it up! Now you have a big, fun, splashy arrangement for a baby shower or it’s a great announcement display to sit on the porch the day the new baby comes home. It’s great to save it and keep passing it on to the next new mom.
July 9th, 2008 at 11:37 pm
my grandaughter likes to share her stroller with her dog and all of her dolls
July 10th, 2008 at 4:14 am
Our kid has long since grown, but when he was in the stroller, my wife regularly used the umbrella stroller to carry back groceries from the store; of course, he was still in the chair, so she had to make sure she did not overload the back side – or it would tip him over! It was a good personal outing for both of them – he got a ride and she managed to get groceries she needed.
The Bugaboo looks nice for a friend!
July 10th, 2008 at 4:52 am
My funniest use for my stroller was when we went to the local carnival last year. My husband won a child sized stuffed monkey (lucky us). It was so bulky, we ended up carying our baby and pushing the monkey in the stroller. So funny!
I checked out the Zooper 2008 Twist. What a cool stroller!!
July 10th, 2008 at 6:53 am
I’m on my 4th baby and I’ve never had a stroller as nice as any of these! I like the diaper bags for 2 kids and heavy packers, any color, those are nice and big. I don’t know if its wacky, but I use my stroller in the house, to keep baby with me from living room to kitchen…etc…and NO my house is not big either, but I still do it.
July 10th, 2008 at 8:03 am
I love the Baby Jogger City Elite Double. I’ve always wanted a jogger and since we’re hoping to have baby #2 soon the double would be perfect! I guess the wackiest thing we’ve done with our stroller is to take our son out and put our dog in when he gets too tired. He is starting to get arthritis and can’t go for really long walks anymore.
July 10th, 2008 at 9:08 am
I love the bugaboo line as well as the orbit system. I can’t say that I have used our strollers in any unusual ways but with three kids we certainly put them to good use. I haven’t been able to splurge on one of the luxury lines with our last baby but would love to get my hands on the frog!
July 10th, 2008 at 9:13 am
Stokke Xplory Stroller is my favoriet.
I used the stroller to sit in to watch TV we had guest and ran out of chairs. Good thing the stroller was strong and did I mention it’s uncomfortable!
July 10th, 2008 at 9:14 am
haven’t had the chance yet but due soon
July 10th, 2008 at 12:42 pm
I haven’t used my stroller this way as it is still in use, but I have a friend who sometimes just takes the stroller to the mall and leaves the baby with the hubby. The stroller is her shopping cart.
July 10th, 2008 at 2:52 pm
I LOVE THIS STROLLER……….
July 10th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
My favorite stroller is the Phil and Ted’s Vibe Stroller, and I love the Bugaboo Chameleon.
When my son was young he loved to hear his own voice (cried all the time) and one of the few things that would calm him down was his stroller. I finally started leaving the stroller in the living room, and I would walk my baby all thru the house while I did my chores.
July 10th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
Cool … I have 3 small grandkids living with me.. This would be great.
July 10th, 2008 at 3:56 pm
I love the lightweight shopping stroller.
July 10th, 2008 at 5:56 pm
love the city elite joggers stroller! been wanting to run, but my stroller won’t allow it!
my daughter’s cheap umbrella stroller is outside and being used as a bed by 2 orphan kittens.i have photo’s. it’s cute!
July 10th, 2008 at 6:45 pm
My favorite diaper bag is the Baby Bjorn backpack because it keeps everything organized and my hands free. I can’t say that we’ve used our stroller for anything unusual. Although we have given people without children passing us by a few good laughs when they see our son’s monkey stuffed animal riding in it while we are carrying our son. The Phil & Ted Vibe stroller looks so cool and would come in handy after our second son arrives.
July 10th, 2008 at 8:01 pm
I like the Bugaboo Bee. I have used my stroller as a grocery cart. Maybe not too wierd but that’s all I have!
Thanks
July 10th, 2008 at 8:21 pm
I had to move some garden rocks and since I didn’t have a wheelbarrow … strollertime, really like the look of orbit
July 10th, 2008 at 11:28 pm
My dream stoller would be the Baby Jogger City Elite Double. The silliest thing we have done with an old stoller is let our son stroll our dog around the neighborhood.
July 10th, 2008 at 11:59 pm
When we go to the Zoo, our son is uaually out of the stroller so he can get a better view of the animals. Our empty stroller becomes invaluable space needed to tote the 50 million things we hall around including; diaper bag, water, snacks, camera etc. I’ve always loved the style of the Bugaboo, if I had to pick one thing from the site it would be that…Thanks!
July 11th, 2008 at 12:59 am
I am trying to win this for my daughter-in-law who will need it very soon. I like the Phil and Ted’s Sport Buggy Stroller with the toddler Seat. The Lexie Bornes Darling Stroller Diaper Bag can be attached to the back of the stroller.
When my kids were 6, 3, and two months we went to the beach with my husband’s parents. I was carrying the little one in a sling. My three years old was with Nanna so the six year old climbed into the stroller and fell asleep. His feet stuck out and his head rolled to the side. Since I was lagging behind the group, I heard a passerby tell his son, “You should count your blessings. Did you see that big boy in the stroller?”
July 11th, 2008 at 4:38 am
UPPABaby G-Lite Stroller looks cool. We regularly push our super stubborn cat in the stroller. He refuses to leave.

July 11th, 2008 at 5:18 am
I used our stroller to fill up on free food samples at a recent convention! I really like the bugaboo bee and frog models.
July 11th, 2008 at 5:23 am
My son’s stroller was used as so many things. Shopping cart to large item hauler. I even made one into a shower gift cake thingy. Like the diaper cakes only we used the stroller as the base and then loaded it up with everything a mommy needs on the top and everything she “wants” on the bottom. It was a big hit and have been asked to do them for other showers…. So, many things at letsgostrolling but right now another diaper bag would be great (just had my lil girl 2 weeks ago) I like the Caden Lane Tote but my hubby walked in and I swear begged for the Diaper Dude bag…. Thanks for the contest
July 11th, 2008 at 5:30 am
you can fit lot in the bottom of a stroller at the grocery store, but it doesn’t fit as good after being bagged….
July 11th, 2008 at 5:31 am
I have used my stroller as a carry-all. The strollers we like are the Bugaboo Bee and Frog.
July 11th, 2008 at 6:55 am
Great giveaway! I hope i’m the lucky winner
I like the bugaboo bee — too cute! We dont use our stroller for any truly whacky purposes but we often use them in place of a shopping cart especially on family trips at amusement parks and such..everyone’s stuff goes in the stroller .
July 11th, 2008 at 7:44 am
I enjoyed shopping your site. The Skip Hop City Chic diaper bag is gorgous. I love that it looks nothing like your typical diaper bag. I also liked the Bugaboo bee stroller I had no idea there were so many different types of stollers. I like that it is reversable. I love the convienence and style of your products.
July 11th, 2008 at 8:19 am
Really like the Easy Walker All terrain. Ha Crazy uses for stroller- Umm what didn’t we use them for. Everything from toting stuff to high chairs, I would have been lost without it. Probably the strangest looks I’ve gotten was when my oldest was little and I raced across the airport carrying her and hauling our carryons in the stroller to catch a flight. I would love to win a great stroller for my niece, thanks for the chance.
July 11th, 2008 at 8:58 am
I could def use this!
July 11th, 2008 at 9:34 am
I like the ‘Boy Meets Girl’ Pink & Blue Limited Edition Valco Twin Trimode
July 11th, 2008 at 9:39 am
I HAVE HEARD GOOD REVIEWS ON THE PRODUCT FROM PALS WHO OWN 1.
July 11th, 2008 at 10:03 am
The Mutsy Slider Stroller and its design really caught my eye!!! I can remember a many a day that I have carried the little one while the stroller was used as a carryall while shopping. Why do we do that???
July 11th, 2008 at 11:37 am
Phil and Ted’s Vibe Stroller
Not exactly wacky but have used it to stroll around groceries while carrying the kids that didn’t want to sit in it.
July 11th, 2008 at 1:16 pm
am not able to open the web site but would love to win..
hkgandhi at hotmail dot com
July 11th, 2008 at 1:28 pm
I guess it’s not all that wacky, but strollers double as great shopping carts! Besides this stroller, I also love the Bugaboo Bee!
July 11th, 2008 at 4:07 pm
Okay, cute overload right now!! Having two small children and trying to stay fit and healthy is a challenge. Before them it was just the 2 of us, our 2 boxers, and a whole road for the running. Now we alternate days. It sure would be nice to run as a family. I could push the stroller and he could hold the leashes!
And really, aren’t strollers just a big gigantic purse?! haha I’ve put everything in them, on them, hanging from them… they’re great! I’d love to own the Baby Jogger City Elite Double.
So luxurious I may just have to get my hair done too!
Thanks
July 11th, 2008 at 4:16 pm
i love the phil and teds vibe stroller. boy would it be perfect for me to bring on my trip to sleepaway camp. one time i actually used my stroller to transport a cake . i was quite surprised to see that the stroller did not get “creamed”
July 11th, 2008 at 4:44 pm
the bagaboo frog is actually my favorite but i also like the phil and ted’s vibe.
we once used a stroller handles as a hook to reach a bag that was dropped over a ledge
July 11th, 2008 at 5:33 pm
The craziest thing Ive done with my stroller is use it for older children so we can move through crowded places more easily! A really fancy one that caught my eye was the Stokke xplory stroller. The skip hop city chic diaper bag was cute.
July 11th, 2008 at 5:38 pm
I have used our old stroller to carry groceries.
I love to have a Jogger stroller.
July 11th, 2008 at 7:09 pm
My stroller converts to a wonderful protable/wheeled vehicle for the shopping cart; Love the Baby Jogger City Elite; Many Thanks SW
July 11th, 2008 at 7:35 pm
We’ve used our old stroller for equipment storage AND baby transportation (simultaneously) during a short-lived pro bono landscaping endeavor.
Similarly, we hope to have many similar adventures in our Phil and Ted’s Travel Cot, recently purchased from LetsGoStrolling.com.
July 11th, 2008 at 8:30 pm
Sports Utility Stroller is what I need lol
I once used the stroller to haul a big bottle of water home
July 11th, 2008 at 8:35 pm
.. A top of the Line Stroller that I feel Good about!
July 11th, 2008 at 8:45 pm
Awesome!
July 11th, 2008 at 9:04 pm
I had such a tough time putting my 1st son to sleep. What I had to do was put him in the stroller and walk him around the house ,when I was he was getting tired I would sit down and hold the stroller so he was laying down, I had to hold it there until he fell asleep.I would then secure the stroller and let him sleep for a short because he would take cat naps .Hyper after all!!I liked the Bugaloo Frog stroller and Fleurville Lexie Tote , both beautiful!! Count me in to win
July 11th, 2008 at 9:28 pm
Having chosen my stroller prior to the birth of my son, just didn’t realize how important the sun shade was going to be to me. Not enough strollers provide a good sunshade, I saw two that had nice protection, those were: bugaboo bee and baby jogger city mini single. Here’s my funny stroller story. So after having the baby shower and receiving the usual diaper cake. I decided to take that idea to the next level when my friend bought a house one block from my house. So I made a Toilet Paper / Paper Towel cake and covered it with dish towels, figuring they would all come in handy. I then realized I had to get this thing to her somehow, so I slung my 5 month old son across my chest and proceeded to load up the toilet paper cake from hell onto my stroller. Here comes the funny part… it wasn’t exactly stable, so I had to tie it down with something. All I could find was bright pink 6″wide ribbon and I tied it down to my green stroller from every possible angle. I am now the biggest geek in the neighborhood and don’t even care!

When my son had colic, I would put him in the stroller and walk all around the house at night to keep him calm. Movement soothed him, but after awhile, even so small, he got heavy. Yep, I used it in the house before ever using it outside.
Also, in airports, its great to hold EVERYTHING – including baby. Our last trip to visit family we didn’t bring it and definitely felt the difference.
It was hard to decide on favourites. I love a few of the bags and as for the strollers, I loved the Stokke Xplory Stroller. I love the sleek styling and the fact that babies can face their mommies. My baby, eventually needs to see me…if I pull the stroller for awhile instead of pushing – he’s fine. And like the ad for it tells us, it can be used for restaraunt dining as its so high. And of course, I loved all the bugaboos for their nice stylings and versatility.

I have used a stroller to carry things while I was shopping. I love the Fleurville Sling Tote!
