Dashboard Confessions Giveaway: "Would You Rather" Edition

August 1, 2008

If there's one game my kids enjoy playing on the road, it's "Would You Rather?". Unfortunately, they are not all that creative with the questions so when they make up their own it usually goes like this:

Kid One: "Hey Mom, would you rather walk down the street naked or eat dog poop?" (naked)

Kid Two: "Hey Mom, would you rather eat cat poop or walk down the street naked?" (still naked!)

Thankfully the folks at Zobmondo are pretty good at coming up with clever conundrums that do not all involve public nudity or animal poo, and that my kids still find immensely amusing. As do I. Such as:

"Would You Rather... Rip a garment while trying it on and swear you found it that way or… be given too much change and not tell the cashier?"

Zobmondo's version of this travel game ensures that you are never out of amusingly tricky choices and that you will enjoy much laughter and lively conversation as the miles fly by. Sans electronics!

We're hitting the road in a week's time, and we'll be bringing the travel version of Zobmondo's "Would You Rather..." game along with us. We love it so much that we decided we'd rather share it with you than keep it a secret. So we are giving away two travel sets of the classic game to two lucky winners. Here's how to enter:

In the Comments Field Below:

1. Answer the Question "Would You Rather... travel 5 hours by plane or 5 hrs by car with your children in tow?"

2. Hit us with your best original "Would You Rather" question, and keep the game going!

Two winners will be chosen at 11pm on Friday Aug 8th. Winners will have 72 hrs to respond to email before we draw another do please do check your inbox!

by car, definitely. we can stop, get out, strech our legs, buy sth...

Posted by: Maja | August 1, 2008 1:27 PM

I'd rather travel by car with my kids for five hours than by air, because in the car we can stop occasionally and let them out to run around and scream.

1. by car, where there are no witnesses ;) 2. would you rather introduce a new girlfriend/boyfriend to your kids or your parents?

I would rather travel by car with kids. Would you rather be a grown up or a child? Thanks for this giveaway. This game sounds like so much fun.

I would travel 5 hours by car with the children in tow. It's easier to keep them entertained in the car than in a plane. Would you rather... eat shark meat or mystery meat?

Posted by: AmandaK | August 1, 2008 9:42 PM

I would definitely rather travel by car! You can pull over and stop at restaurants, a plane is just too crowded. Unless of course I could travel first class. Would you rather touch a tarantula or a snake?

1. I would so rather travel for 5 hours with my 2 and 3 year old sons by car. I know this how? My husband is Australian so once a year we travel from Phoenix to Brisbane/Sydney.. it is 14 hours NON-STOP!! It takes me the entire 2 weeks in Australia just to recover from the plan ride there and then it is time to come home and do it again. Have you ever tried to keep a 2 year old in the same chair for 14 hours? Not recommended ;-) We just returned home from a road trip between Phoenix and Laguna Beach (about 5 hours by car) and it was so much more fun. You can stop when you want.. let the kids run around. Much easier on the kids AND mom and dad. 2. Would you rather eat a cockroach or eat the booger of a stranger (my husband came up with this.. go figure.)

Travel by car...there are so many options in keeping children busy in the car (dvd, games, special toys, singing, etc). Would you rather be overdressed or underdressed for a party?

Posted by: bunny | August 3, 2008 3:14 AM

1. I'd much rather travel five hours by car than by plane. Kids (and mommies) need frequent breaks to stretch achy legs, buy snacks and useless junk at convenience stores, and besides, who doesn't love to play the license plate game? 2. Here's my "Would you rather..." question: Would you rather have eyes that always smile, or a voice that makes people calm?

Posted by: Elaina | August 3, 2008 9:46 AM

By car, hands down!

Posted by: Diane | August 3, 2008 10:11 AM

By car with the kids-they can do the driving-they are in their 30's!

My son is 1.5 and with experience with both at before one and just recently I'd say plane! He doesn't really seem to cry on a plane (so much to see) and he sleeps a lot!

By plane because anywhere I could go 5 hours by plane would be somewhere my boys had never been. Here is a question I posed to my boys recently: Would you rather go on a cruise or get lots of Christmas presents? (they picked a cruise)

Posted by: Tari Lawson | August 4, 2008 3:36 AM

By car, we can take our time and take in the sights along the way. My question: Would you rather spend all your money at the mall or save it and by little things that add up to a big thing.

Posted by: Barbara Fox | August 4, 2008 1:41 PM

By plane because then when you arrive you are further away from home than if you had been in a car. Would you rather eat a shot glass full of someone else's boogers or eat the shotglass? Thanks!

Posted by: Tonya Froemel | August 4, 2008 4:26 PM

I would rather travel by car. I don't like flying and I can always stop ad let the kids run out some built up energy. Would you rather spend the week with the in-laws or a week with two screaming, whiney, fussy children? lol, I'd take the kids.

Posted by: Amanda Chapman | August 4, 2008 9:11 PM

Flying is no fun these days, so I have to say car. Would you rather go on a cruise with your in-laws or camping for a week.

I would rather go by car because we can stop and eat, go to the bathroom or stop at the rest area to stretch our legs. Would you rather live where it's sweating hot or ice cold?

Posted by: K. Cleaver | August 5, 2008 8:35 PM

Definitely in the car. At least they can get out and burn off some of that energy.

Posted by: Amy | August 6, 2008 6:20 AM

i used to think flying was so much less stressful. Now that isn't true at all. I would rather drive with kids in tow so we can pull over when we need to.

Posted by: Catherine copeland | August 6, 2008 8:35 AM

1) I would say traveling by car would be the way to go. You can stop, stretch your legs, use a full size bathroom and not get as ripped off if you have to buy food while on the trip 2) Would you rather be allergic to chocolate or to pollen?

Posted by: Cathy R | August 6, 2008 3:44 PM

By car, definitely. Then I have the option to stop at a McDonalds with a playplace and let them run around. You can't do that in a plane.

Posted by: Heather Goldsmith | August 6, 2008 5:58 PM

I'd love to win this for my kids!

Posted by: Traci Holland | August 6, 2008 6:51 PM

At least you can stop and let the kids run around for a few minutes! 2. Hit us with your best original "Would You Rather" question, and keep the game going! Posted by: Brad | August 7, 2008 6:47 AM

I only have one child but my husband, son and I all love road trips. You get to stop off at gas stations for drinks and stop at stupid *but sometimes fun* road side attractions you didn't plan on visiting. Plus it's a nice way to see nature in Arizona without worrying about the heat!

Definitely by car. My son loves to read the map and check out street signs throughout any car trip - and especially loves to see the different counties we pass through. We look for different license plates as well. Tons of fun.

Posted by: Elizabeth Ray | August 8, 2008 8:16 AM

after this trip of 12 hours in the car with 3 teens, it may be a while before I do that again. If I would have had more for them to do it may have been better.
